A: SAGE (Student Assessment of Growth & Excellence) is Utah’s assessment system that is used to assess student proficiency of the curriculum. The SAGE system replaces the CRT system that has been used in years past.

Q: When will my student take the SAGE tests and what subjects will they be tested in?
A: Students will take the SAGE tests in the spring, and your teacher will schedule your specific tests/dates/times. Students in 3rd-8th grades who are enrolled in math and language will take the math and language tests. Students in 4th-8th grades who are enrolled in science will take the science test.
