Students in grades 3-8 taking any of these courses will also take the end of year SAGE test for math.

MathSpace Math Courses

Mathspace’s technology allows students to receive automated feedback at every step of a math problem, identifying whether students have taken correct steps to solve the problem, and providing feedback where they make mistakes. Students show each step of their math reasoning, and have access to feedback, hints and suggestions at every step to help guide them to the final answer, replicating the feedback a teacher would give while sitting next to a student. Mathspace’s focus on the process of solving a math problem – rather than just the final result – distinguishes it from the vast majority of online math programs, which are primarily based around multiple-choice or final answer formats.

Mathspace combines its StepSmart technology with handwriting recognition for mobile devices and a sophisticated adaptive learning engine. Mathspace collects data at multiple points within a math question, and uses this data to create a highly-personalized learning path for each student. As a whole curriculum solution, Mathspace includes a digital textbook, over 8,000 instructional videos, interactive widgets, and tools.  Mathspace is available through a browser, on tablets (iPads/Android/Windows) and iPhones/Android smartphones.

Description

*RtI (Response to Intervention) courses are designed to help students master needed mathematical concepts in order to be prepared and successful in their AAG (age-appropriate grade) level course. These courses are intended to be completed as quickly as possible in order to advance and be on grade level as quickly as possible. Once a RtI course is completed, the student will advance into their grade appropriate course (ie: a student who completes RtI 6 will advance to MS Course 1).

For all courses, when a student finishes, they can advance to the next course.
